More than a dozen crews responded early this morning to a house fire in the 6700 block of 180th Street SW. When they got on scene shortly before 4:30 a.m., they saw smoke coming from the attic of the two-story home.
Once inside, they discovered the fire was confined to a living room on the second floor. Investigators say it was caused by an electrical lamp leaning against a couch. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
No one was hurt but two pets are still missing. The family is now staying with friends.
Seventeen firefighters from Lynnwood, Mukilteo and Fire District 1 responded.
