The gun involved was a .45 caliber Glock, similar to the one seen here.

We’re learning more about Sunday’s unfortunate incident at the Lynnwood Lowe’s store in which a man accidentally shot himself in the testicles.

Our news partners at the Seattle Times have details from the police report, which said the gun was a Glock 30 (a .45 caliber pistol). The man was carrying it in the waistband of his sweatpants when he felt it starting to slip, so he reached for it and apparently pulled the trigger.

The report says the man was “joking with staff members” at Harborview Medical Center after medics took him there.

But on Wednesday afternoon, back at his apartment after being released from the hospital Tuesday, he wasn’t in much of a joking mood.

“I’m up. I’m walking. I’m good. I don’t want to talk to you,” he said.

He then closed the door.

Reporter Eric Lacitis said a Shoreline Fire paramedic, who happened to be shopping at the store, helped the man before the ambulance arrived by applying pressure to the wound.
